Default Favourite Camping/RVing spot

So whats your favourite camping/rving spot and why?

Mine was the Shuswap. We use to camp near a little town called Sorrento but they have sold off the campground now in favour of building a condo complex.

Right now I would have to say Bear Lake Provincial park.
- great lake for boating, water skiing, tubing.
- great beach for the kids to play on.
- big sites.

Considering the scarcity of good camping spots in Alberta - especially Southern Alberta, I'd assume that anyone that has a really good spot they like to go to isn't that likely to divulge that info. Not to $h*t on your post or anything...

Cataract Creek - close to lots of good fly fishing.

Gravel road - can get dusty.

I agree. The quality is lacking down here.

However, Moyie Lake has a nice provincial camp ground just outside of Cranbrook. Nice lake with a moderate sized beach, decent bathrooms and showers, and the sites are pretty standard (gravel with table and fire pit)

My only complaint was the price.......it seems like camping is getting more and more expensive all the time.

A great choice. And you can hike Indefatigable too.

Pierre Grey's Lakes - a series of small lakes SE of Grande Cache in the foothills of the Rockies, stocked with trout, no motorboats allowed (only electric motors). Went up there for a week every summer when we were growing up and that place has so many fond memories for me.

Well I'm spoiled. I like my 5th wheel and I like a place with good showers and bathroom facilities (especially if I'm staying there for more than a couple of days) and I like to be beside a nice lake in the mountains....

So, my #1 choice is Two Jack Lake (lakeside campground)!

Plus its still quite close to the town of Banff where you can go for a nice dinner out or a movie or other stuff.

My favorite place to "pitch a tent" is on may lawn chair at the Lake house in Invermere while watching hot girls wake surf by the cabin

McLean Creek. You almost NEED 4x4 but it's the best IMO. It's roughing it though.. depends on what you like as far as camping is concerned.

No toilets, no firepits, nothing. You have to make it all. Take your sh*t tickets into the woods and lean against a tree to poop.

Why are my posts devolving into poop discussion today?

I've never been down there but know lots of people who love it and camp there every year.

I believe they have houseboats there now.
