Paint Shop Pro is a 60 day trial. Not sure if that will work for you.

Well what are you trying to do? Make minor corrections to images (such as adjusting the brightness or the size) or are you looking to manipulate the image into something else?

I use a program called IrfanView for viewing and simple fixes to images.

I use Photoshop for the rest.

I use IrfanView too, it's awesome, I also have Canon PhotoStitch 3.1 but I rarely use it, it came with my ancient S200

I'm honoured to be the first geek to recommend The GIMP. It's kinda like Photoshop and it might take a bit to while to figure out get comfortable with. But it's a really powerful program and best of all: it's free! No trials, no shareware, no seedy back alley piracy required.

If you are going to use PaintShop Pro by Jasc, you may as well just use Adobe Photoshop. I've used both and prefer Photoshop over Paintshop Pro.

I've also heard of GIMP, supposedly it is similar to Adobe but I've not had a chance to try it out yet.
