Default Above Ground Pool Heaters

I have a 15' x 48" above ground pool and I was wondering if anybody else has something similar that they heat somehow.

Canadian Tire has this one in two sizes (don't know how big I need)

This one is on ebay.

I cannot find any online reviews so I have no idea how well these work.

Any suggestions?

With a pool that size, That's an awful lot of water to try to heat. especialy considering that water will cool over night.

We have an 18 foot diameter above ground pool that is currently hovering between 18 & 20 degrees cel. just from the sun and ambient temps. I highly doubt either of these heaters will give you more than a 2 degree increase.

I know every little bit helps, but might be a waste of your dough.

......a short term solution is pee.

Why not heat your pool with nuclear power? Get a good solar blanket.

We had a large inground pool growing up with a very fancy and expensive heater. My dad would only turn it on in the spring to get the temp up and then it would be off for the summer. It will also keep the pool from losing heat at night.

The pool would hover around 26 deg C.

I'm reminded of a great joke by Mitch Hedberg.

Quote:
I saw a commercial for an above-ground pool, it was 30 seconds long. Because that's the maximum amount of time you can picture yourself having fun in an above-ground pool. If it was 31 seconds, the actor would say "The water is only up to here? What do I do now? Throw the ball back to Jimmy? Or put some goggles on and look at his feet?"
I'm sorry I'm not more help to the OP.
