So I'm renoing the basement here and have a question for the real estate agents here.
Here's what I'm working with:
Above are before and after shots of the bathroom area of the basement. Basically it's a large rectangular room that's had the end 4' subdivided into a small bathroom with shower. A closet has been added, and I believe the windows are of sufficient size to call it a bedroom.
The area where the taller ladder is standing (behind the door in photo 1) is going to be a shower which we will glass off walls at 90 degrees to form a shower. Our original intent was to replace the solid wall between the "bathroom" area and the rest of the room "bedroom" with a glass wall + glass door.
My question is this.
If I don't put a glass door on, will this prevent me from calling it "1 Bedroom & 1 Bathroom" on an MLS listing? In other words, there is no door between the bathroom area and the bedroom area.
I'd rather not - the door makes things cramped and realistically 1 person is in the bedroom/bathroom at any given time so privacy is not an issue.
Thanks!
