HAHA!
I just started reading Twilight (I needed some mind-numbing literature to pass the time away while I am on Mat leave)
Now that the whole series is ruined for me... I'll probablly read it anyways.

That was awesome.

My wife really likes the books and the whole saga though, but I'm not complaining...

My wife loved the first movie, which makes me happy because I finally have something I can tease her about. But if I was to send her this article it would probably ruin the series for her, and thus ruin my chances to mock it. So no, I'll let her continue to think that the series will be good, so that I can continue to milk it for another five years or so.

That was funny,

But I didn't get this comment (bolded)

Quote:
Alleged Sexism
Stephenie Meyer, the series' author, has been criticized for her portrayal of a weak, helpless female lead who falls madly in love with a man who wants to kill her. Others disagree and claim that the relationship has fair precedent, citing the common practice of marriages to incarcerated serial killers and the notorious original ending to the movie Terminator. This idea has been backed up by legions of the books' fans, prompting others of the female persuasion to attempt to forcibly remove their extra X chromosome.

Reading this would be too close to reading Twilight.

Anything that boosts the sex appeal of skinny pale guys and destroys young womens ability to rationalize their emotions gets my vote.
