Default Calgarians are the smartest in Canada...

Canada's Composite Learning Index average score fell for the first time this year, but Calgary continues to top the list measuring lifelong learning.

Then how come they have to be told when to cross the street instead of being able to figure it out for themselves at times?

I read the title fast, and thought it said Canadians were the smartest in Canada.

I need a nap.

Unless you live in Vancouver, then Calgary is full of rednecks and uncultured cowboys.

So why is it this happens every time 2 cars try to navigate a traffic circle at the same time in our city?

.... yes. It is that bad. And no, I won't stop complaining about it.

Perhaps the correlation between education level and ability to drive is inverse.

It doesn't say Calgarians are the smartest, it says Calgary, "continues to top the list measuring lifelong learning."

So needing to repeat Drivers Ed every year may contribute to this ranking.

Then the engineers that designed our road system must be from Edmonton if we are the smartest.

How can you be the smartest though if you're hiring engineers from Edmonton?

That's because people who have difficulty driving need to live close to downtown and also need an ample supply of fancy pedestrian bridges so that they can walk to work. See my post #7 above. ^^^

I lived in Vancouver in '04 and '05 and I love the city, but Vancouverites are hilarious. I think they've even got Torontonians beat when it comes to self-smugness. The funny thing is, I've never been in a Canadian city that hates Toronto more than Vancouverites. Talk about irony.
