I'm looking for a new SUV (used Envoy) and with the problems with GM, should i be buying a GM product? there are two private sales on line that i like and am skeptical about weather it makes sense to buy a product from a company that may go out of business.

What do u think?

The U.S. government is for all intents and purposes buying GM, you should be okay. BTW, they will probably declare bankruptcy on Monday afternoon. There is no way you aren't going to be able to find parts and service for an existing model.

You're buying a used vehicle.. I wouldn't be worried, there will always be 3rd party parts makers that will continue to make parts even if they disappeared completely. Even for people buying new vehicles the government will guarantee the warranties.
