Default Things I Noticed While Reading The Herald At Lunch Today

[1] Front page: Save $50 on flights to San Diego & San Francisco. Details, Page A21.

It's a shame that today's newspaper only goes up to A16. Maybe I'm missing an insert.

[2] Front page: Pain Easing After Lightning Death - Son was killed by lightning 15 years ago.

No disrespect to the tragic death, but why is this front page news?

[3] Front page of Section B: "Bring On The Sun" - U of C student Hannah Bryant relishes a quiet moment on campus Thursday.

I want Ted Rhodes's job.

Because apparently his job description entails scoping out university girls on the lawn for money! (He was the photographer)

And people say the internet is responsible for the demise of printed news.

Usually on Friday there are two "Section A". The second section is called "news and opinion" and the front page of that would be A17.

Ah, makes sense? "No sir, you want the *other* section A. This is the other section A."

So, did anyone ever find out how to save $50 on a flight to San Diego?

Yes, I turned to page A21. It was a westjet ad.

Ha. No, it does not.

Friday is their biggest circulation day (I think) because of the TV guide. I'm sure there are plenty of people every week who do exactly what you did, and then they think "man, the Herald has really fallen apart. They can't even get the index right".

I think Sat/Sun papers sell more than Friday but I could be wrong.

I don't seem to have a problem understanding the newspaper. Although, I agree it's sometimes arranged weird.

To each his own. Read the sun (hahahaha) if you think the Herald is confusing.

All in all a good day for the Herald. Only a few gaffs.
