Default Calgary Park-Plus Question

I have been a park plus user for a while with no problems. It works very slick with my phone when parking on the street.

However there is a ParkPlus lot downtown that has a 2 digit number. When I call to setup parking it says its not recognized.

Can you not pay for these lots with the account, and have to use a credit card?

I tried looking on their website, but I can't find it now.

I was positive it said that the numbers would all be 4 digit numbers. Is it possible the sign has been damaged? Like if the numbers were put on as stickers that somebody removed 2 of the numbers? It would be a good way to ensure there is always parking if nobody else can pay; assuming you know what the 4 digit number is supposed to be.

Its lot 71 on 4th street and 4th ave about a block east of the Shaw building. It has a terminal there to input your details. I am wondering since its a lot, if they require a reciept on the dash?

I paid using the nearest street sign number I could. I guess I will have to see if I got a ticket. Serves me right for saying yes to drive today for some offsite work.

Speaking of Park Plus - I have a question.

I parked on 17th Ave for about 10 minutes yesterday. Machine ate my loonie without acknowledging the payment. Came back to my car - no ticket.

I know that they do license plate scans, etc. to determine if someone's parking has expired and/or was not paid for. Are the tickets issued immediately or do they show up in the mail a few days later?

I called the parking authority to report a broken machine and got bounced around and ended up with a random lady's voice mail by mistake, so I hung up.

I know that the odds of me getting a ticket in the 10 minutes that I was parked there are quite remote. However, if I did get one, would it be on my windshield or in my mailbox?

They dont issue tickets on the street I believe. I think that in a lot they require a ticket stub which was my problem.

If you did get a ticket via those cars with 20 cameras on it, you will get it in the mail.

You could just not pay any Park Plus fees like the construction workers outside my office have been doing for the past 2 months by leaving their hatch/door open so the camera SUV cannot see the license plate.

If you did pay and then got a ticket I am sure there is a process to prove you paid but for the wrong lot. If you can show you paid for the time of the tickey you should be able to get it waived. Call 311 and explain you paid but got a ticket and they should put you through to the right person.

I have no idea where you got that 77 number from. I drove by 4th and 4th SW today, and the numbers were in the 1530 range.
