Canadiens make two more trades

After recently losing our own 1st Rounder in 2010, we wanted to get one back as we hate not having 1st rounders.

The first deal we struck was with the Blues.

To Blues

2nd Rounder (FLY) 36th Overall 2009
Robbie Czarnik (3rd Round pick last year)
Kevin Regan (Providence Bruins Goalie)

To Habs

1st Rnd (STL) 2010

The second deal was a rather minor one. We sent Ducks prospect MacGregor Sharp to the Predators for a draft pick.

How could you trade a guy with such a cool name like MacGregor Sharp. I wish I was 6'-7, 250 pounds and named MacGregor. I'd go around telling everyone I'll straighten you out you little....I'd make darn sure I had a wicked Scottish accent too.

It did actually cross my mind that maybe I should hold onto him purely because of his name. It is pretty damn awesome; that was one of the main reasons I signed him to begin with. It just sounds so James Bond like.

Love the recovery by curtis, that guy just doesnt make many bad deals! Picking up 2010 1sts is awesome because they could end up being lottery picks!

That is exactly why I made that deal. A guy with a name like that is easily worth a 5th round pick on that basis alone!

I wonder why Spike says he's rebuilding and then trades his 1st 2010..high price to pay if the Blues don't rebuild, if they do rebuild, good deal.

I tend to overpay a bit for 1st rounders as i hate not having them, so it was a bit high but at the same time I had 8 solid goalie prospects so I could afford to let one go.
