Well we hit a deep team that didn't have any injuries and we simply couldn't run against them.

I did label the Sabres as a team with good scoring depth a ways back and cited that as a reason for why they would be a dangerous playoff team. So congrats to the Sabres and Looob for a very impressive 16-2 run to your first CPHL Stanley Cup. You have built a pretty solid organization over the years and it's finally paid off.

We had a nice first three rounds where we were very luckey to beat teams that were all better than us. Unfortunately luck doesn't last that long. I was sort of hoping that I might at least win a couple games. Maybe if I don't hit that 4 game losing skid at the end of the year and I don't force myself this close to cap I might have been able to maintain a healthy lineup.

I guess I just proved trading no longer works in this league. Unless you're raping some idiot of his good young players. You have to draft and hold if you want to have success.

Unbelievable run by the Sabres, a big congrats. Great effort making it to the finals Syl. I know very few including yourself would have predicted you make it to the cup final.

One additional comment, I do find it interesting that last years and this years winners built their teams completely differently. It shows you can win by building or by trading.

Good season too Syl but you knew the Oil couldn't win the CPHL Championship.

Congrats loob, great season for the Sabres. 16-2 playoff run... pretty unbelievable.

And congrats to Syl too. Very nice run for the Oilers, they beat some great teams. I think the Oilers could be a top team in the west next season.

I must credit Syl, as he made the changes to that team to turn it into a 'why the heck are they fighting for a playoff spot' team to a finalist. Excellent job Syl.
