Suite above garage (nanny/carriage suite)

Just wondering if anyone knows about these. There are a bunch of lots in Mckenzie town that are zoned DC2 and allow for the building of a detached garage with a suite on top. I have one of these lots but am having trouble finding builders/contractors that can do the work.

I have found one builder (quicksilver construction) but I am hesitant to go through with it, without having an array of people to choose from.

Any leads would be appreciated!

Do you already have a garage? The floor and foundation for the garage only is different than the garage + granny suite.

Just a heads up. My parents payed extra for their garage with a granny suite ready foundation. You may have to tear the whole thing down to the gravel.

Just in the process of finishing up my suite in Prestwick, so if you want to stop by for a tour PM me. We contracted it ourselves along with our neighbours.

My previous garage was built by Quicksilver without any problems, and he does have some experience in building the granny suites including a couple on my block.
