You can't please everyone
Pretty hilarious blog that lists one-star Amazon reviews of classic movies, music and literature.

About the Diary of Anne Frank:
Quote:
It was really really boring. Its about some girl and her life- who cares!?! It is a total girly-girl book. Too dull to even care. I couldnt even pay attention to what happened to her, why it was so awful. Oh Well, NEXT…

About Jimi Hendrix's Are you Experienced:
Quote:
I bought this disc based on all the reviews claiming it’s the greatest guitar album ever. I was very dissapointed, most of the solos suck. Plus, I was surprised that MTV didnt play any videos from this album, I wonder why? Probebly cause the MTV crowd know this music is tired and boring. If you want great guitar listen to Good Charlotte.

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
Quote:
This alBUM and the beatles in general are way too over-rated! How can you people say this album is perfect without it having ONE GOOD METAL GUITAR PART! you people need to learn what GOOD music is.
I suggest: Dragon Force, Megadeth, and Death Cab for Cutie.

Citizen Kane

I saw this movie and just about puked in my lap because it was so terrible! Go see the Da Vinci Code instead. Tom Hanks is ten times the actor Orson “Fatty McFat” Welles ever was!
Cheers.

all I can say after reading some of the reviews on there is that people just aren't that smart it seems.
This Is Spinal Tap

Let me ask you a perfectly reasonable question: why would you want to watch a documentary on a band that you’ve never heard of before? And to top it all off, the interviewer is some guy named Rob (who resembles a pig! That’s right, a little piggy!). If I wanted to look at a hog for an hour, I’d make some bacon!
Also of note is that there’s some character named ‘Bobbi Fleckman’. How can you people be fooled so easily? Don’t you realize that it’s nothing but a cheap disguise? It’s really The Nanny, Fran Fine! Nice try, Fran, but I didn’t believe it for one second! I guess sometimes, you just have to get away from that butler and that old British guy!
People, whatever you do, don’t buy this trash! Just wait until Limp Bizkit (the greatest band ever!) makes a documentary on their wild and crazy and cool antics! It’s sure to put this to shame!

so intelligent that he couldn't figure out it was a fake documentary of a fake band. And after studying every musician of the last 40 years comes to the conclusion that Limp Bizkit is the greatest band ever. Very credible review
and they get worse than that. Entertaining though

And some people can't spot a fake review.

I just pulled that one out because it was pretty funny. Obviously most of them are fake reviews, but there are some where you know the person really doesn't 'get' the thing they are reviewing.

Although I am sure some people do these reviews as a joke, I imagine there are quite a few that are serious.. which make this all quite comical for the rest of us.
