Default Blizzard Authenticator $20

I have 1 Authenticator available for sale, never been taken out of the box.

$20 and that includes shipping in Canada.

I hope I'm not the only one that had to google this... I thought it may have something to do with ice cream

Seriously, people are that concerned about their WoW accounts getting hacked?

It's just funny because I don't even have anything like that for online banking, just as an example.

I know, they should make something like that for all your passwords.

Actually it's funny you mention that, one of my app ideas for the iPhone was a generic authentication app that works like this device.

The guys I was working with nodded and then moved on to other stuff

Of course what happened?

Mind you having it from Verisign probably makes more sense than "photon's Never-U-Steal-My-Pw-Noob Security App-of-doom", people might trust that more.

I wonder why banks don't give these out like candy, considering how bad a problem phishing can be.

Blizzard has an authenticator you can download to the iPhone.

http://www.wowinsider.com/2009/03/27...-in-app-store/

And a buddy of mine had his account hacked a couple weeks ago. I now have an authenticator.

They hack your account, sell all the stuff you have in game for the in-game currency, then turn around and try to sell that for real life money. Every so often in game you will see players named something like "Yhjkyokl" offering "10,000 Gold for only $15.99!" and referring you to a web page.
