Pretty even game in that the shots were 30-28 and the score was 4-3. The difference was Buffalo got a PP goal and we didn't. A big game 2 for us now. We'll make the necessary adjustments for it. Good news is that we lost game #1 in round 2 as well.

Yes a pretty even game, but Sabres three 3rd period goals were the difference. Giguere played his best first game of a series as this is the first time in 3 rounds that Sabourin didn't appear in the opener. Mike Gs with a big game for Buffalo, Grier picking up where he left off as the first star, and Green with 2 points as the 2nd star. Steve Staois gets injured in this one.
