Of course I'm pretty biased as one of my fondest memories from childhood was meeting McCartney when he was visiting my friend's house. (He's his cousin). This was during his Wings days.
Getting to see him play "Hey Jude" on their piano will live with my forever. Good times.

I've told that story a number of times to friends, it's a great one Jagger!
I've seen a few concerts in my day. McCartney in Seattle 5 years ago is in my top 5 for sure. 63 years old at the time and he was on stage for 3 hours!!!!
4 actually (Jet, Band on the Run, A Day in the Life/Give Peace a Chance, and Get Back over the closing credits).
Most performers get 2 segments, occasionally someone will get 3 (with the third usually being over the credits), but I don't know if anyone has ever had 4 segments before.

Didn't make it to the end. Fell asleep. So I guess I missed performance #4.
McCartney seems to take a lot of abuse and is the butt of many jokes for some reason but the fact that the guy keeps going and does what he loves at his age is enough to get respect from me. A lot of people have this Lennon vs McCartney thing going but I don't know why you can't just appreciate what each individual brought to the genius that was the Beatles.

Lorne Michaels: Hi, I'm Lorne Michaels, the producer of "Saturday Night". Right now, we're being seen by approximately 22 million viewers, but please allow me, if I may, to address myself to just four very special people - John, Paul, George, and Ringo - the Beatles: Lately there have been a lot of rumors to the effect that the four of you might be getting back together. That would be great. In my book, the Beatles are the best thing that ever happened to music. It goes even deeper than that - you're not just a musical group, you're a part of us. We grew up with you.
It's for this reason that I am inviting you to come on our show. Now, we've heard and read a lot about personality and legal conflicts that might prevent you guys from reuniting. That's something which is none of my business. That's a personal problem. You guys will have to handle that. But it's also been said that no one has yet to come up with enough money to satisfy you. Well, if it's money you want, there's no problem here.
The National Broadcasting Company has authorized me to offer you this check to be on our show.. [ holds up check ] ..a certified check for $3,000. Here it is right here. A check made out to you, The Beatles , for $3,000. All you have to do is sing three Beatles songs. "She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah." That's $1,000 right there. You know the words - it'll be easy.
Like I said, this is made out to the Beatles - you divide it up any way you want. If you want to give less to Ringo, that's up to you - I'd rather not get involved. I'm sincere about this. If this helps you to reach a decision to reunite, it's well worth the investment. You have agents - you know where I can be reached. Just think about it, okay? [ shows the check again ] Thank you.

Saw him 2 years ago in Tel Aviv. Amazing concert, outdoors, palm trees, and a beautiful evening. An amazing talent.
Enjoyed it more yesterday than him at the Superbowl.
Seth Meyers tweeted that they got two other songs during the taping. Whole new respect for McCartney after SNL, and his visit to Fallon. Makes up for him at the MTV VMA's announcing Lauren Hill winning the video of the year, remarking "Oh hey, I like that guy."
