Am I the only one who was surprised that when pillow shopping, there were $300 pillows?

There is no substitute for homemade.
Get a sack.
Stuff it with the fur of Dogs you've slaughtered bare-handed.
Done.

LOL that's awesome
$300!? Yeah that surprises me.
Memory foam, eh? Do you have to get those at a drug store? Does it go super flat on you when you sleep or does it stay somewhat soft? Is it hot?

Yes - and you need to have a prescription from your doctor too.

Memory foam - Walmart if you're cheap. Sleep Country if you're not.

It depends on what position you sleep in, like on your back, stomach, side or whatever.......

Pacific Coast pillows.
Superstore down pillows as a close second.
If you want a pillow that stays cool(er), then down is really your only choice.

My sister in law made some pillows with cut up pieces of foam. They were essentially down pillows, without the feathers. The one I tried was a bit soft for my liking but would be easy to get it to the proper density by stuffing a bit more foam into it.

There's a store in Southcentre mall that sells the expensive memory foam pillows. It's called Back Plus and it's at centre court. I think the price runs around $120.

I struggled for years trying to find a good pillow. They would always go flat rather quickly, and the memory foam ones wouldn't work for me. Finally got a water pillow from my chiropractor, and couldn't be happier.

Any Tempurpedic pillow. After owning them you'll never use anything else.
But, shouldn't this thread be titled "Why don't we exterminate all pillows?"

I have friends that swear that the creepy Tony Little guy's microbead pillows are the best thing they've ever slept on. They liked them so much, right after they got them the first time they ordered ten to keep on hand in the event Tony Little stops selling them. I haven't actually tried them, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to order one and check it out.

Why don't you just go sleep with one of your friends?

Interesting idea, but wouldn't using them for their pillows be potentially risky to the friendship? Sounds like it could get complicated.
