yes and yes. Although was there for a short stop over, if you have never been to the middle east, even just going out on foot and exploring the town, is super cool.

What kind of stuff do you wanna do man? The Bab el-Bahrain Souk is pretty sweet if you're only there for one day. It's shopping, and the gold souk's in Bahrain are some of the best in the world. You can find some really cool stuff.
Other than that, the Bahrain National Museum is pretty sweet, Al-Fatih Mosque is cool if you're into that sort of thing, or you can check out the Museum of Pearl Diving for something a little different. If you've got your PADI certification you can go out for a dive.
Have you been to the Middle East before? How much time have you spent there?

I've never been, but a very good friend has been kicked out of Bahrain, and banned for life from returning.

Thanks for this info. I have only been to Syria for about 1 hour, didn't leave the airport. I will be in Bahrain for a day so I should have some time to check out that mall atleast.

I am actually going to Islamabad but I will be catching the next flight back which is like 3 hours later. I really do not want to go to Pakistan but I have to.

Are you related to Ron Maclean by any chance? Your penchant for puns is suspicious.

No. Who told you about that. I want to hear no more of it.

I don't remember the story exactly, but it had to do with drunkenness, a fight, and being taken before a judge in the early morning. He and his buddy were enlisted at the time, they just got banned for life instead of being thrown in jail.

Jolinar, WTF? What's with all these trips? Are you getting paid to do this, and if so, are they hiring?

Yes, this is part of my job. I can't tell you what I do because this is a public website and there are some security concerns. If everyone knew what I did there would be a lot of things that I couldn't discuss on here. Not that I ever talk about things that are protected or confidential but by me remaining annonymous I can tell stories which then also remain annonymous. But like I have said on previous threads I am in the Law Enforcement field.
Here is a story for you, not related to this trip. The picture below is where we found someone we were looking for. Needless to say we looked for a long time in his residence before we found him, we knew he was in there it just took a long time to find him.
