Got this idea from Mike's thread (thanks Mike).

What's the strangest thing you've ever seen? Ghosts? UFOs? Bigfoot? Ogopogo? That type of thing is what we are looking for here. Share you "sightings" stories.

For me its a UFO. Was about 14 years old shooting hoops outside my house. Turned around and from over Nose Hill (which was west of me) this silver cylander came along. Made no sound, but moved very quickly. Couldn't really get a good feel for how high it was so I couldn't tell how big it was, but I don't think it was huge. It passed over my house and continued along East swiftly. Got on my bike and tried to chase after it but couldn't keep up to it at all.

Don't know what the fudge it was.

OK - share your strange stories folks. (I really hope someone's seen Ogopogo!)

I have a buddy who, at the time weighed about 220, and he got hammered off 1 and a half Coors Lights. I thought that was pretty strange.

Until I was 5 I lived in a very old house in Brooklyn Ontario. My parents and brother have nothing but haunted story after haunted story about that house, but I was too young to really notice anything. I did however, like most children of that age, claim to seeing a creature in my room every night. It was small and black, and just drifted around on the floor.

My parents told me that I was imagining it back then, but years later they confessed that they actually believed me. They just didn't want to scare me at the time.

Very creepy stuff

One evening about 2 years ago, I was standing on the deck of a friend's house. We were discussing her impressive new house when a green light started darting around in the sky. At first, I though it was probably the police chopper, or maybe some kind of weather thingy. After waqtching for about 30 seconds, I was pretty convinced that it was not from 'around here'. The light was moving very quickly, & not in predictable directions. It was darting around as though it was (I know this will sound stupid) triangulating something.
Go ahead & write me off as crazy, not even my g/f of 8 years believes me, but I'll go to the grave knowing that that thing was either a form of technology hidden to the public, or unknown to man.

strangest thing I've ever seen

On June 6th 2004 I left a hockey game, and walked down a near by street, where guys would ask girls to show them their boobies.

Now where I'm from if you walk up to a girl and say "show me your tits" if the girl doesn't knock you out, her boyfriend steps inbetween you and knocks you out.

Here? Nope, the boyfriend would step inbetween the guy asking for the flash, and his girlfriend and say "wait until I get her on my shoulders" up she'd go, and she shirt as well.

I'm not complaining... but DEFINATELY the strangest/weirdest thing I've ever seen.

Ball lightning. I never thought it really existed until I saw it during a storm. Really odd and scary.

About four years ago I was taking the ferry from Vancouver to Victoria at night. I was outside on the upper deck, puffing away and looking out at the stars when I say one light bouncing all over the place. Same thought as someone said before, convinced myself it was a helicopter or the ferry bouncing up and down. But I kept staring at this thing and because of its distance I guessed it would have to be going REALLY fast bouncing around like that. Very, very weird.

Sounds light northern lights to me...

Wasn't until a few years ago, and then again last year, that I've seen some great green darting northern light...even with the city lights.

i have way to many scary ghost stories to tell, i actually have friends who are afraid to stay in the basement while i go grab some snacks. lots of people have seen and heard things here but not so much lately. Me and 2 friends were drinkin a few beers and out the blue a womans voice called my name. everyone heard it and my dog went nuts. ive seen a little girl standing at the top of my stairs. my ex felt someone touch her as she walked up the stairs, and all ways felt some one following her. doing laundry she once had both hands full and something turned on the lights for her. once i heard someone walking around up stairs, went to check it out and came back downstairs and everything was a mess. my whole family was woken up by a girls scream from the basement, and i mean a scream of horror [thats where i sleep now, crap}.most recently all the light and fans came on in the basement while ai was watching a movie in the dark, i had to go sit upstairs til morning because after i could hear someone walking up and down the stairs and my dog was beside me ready to p*ss the floor, never seen him shake like that before. the scariest was this baby micky mouse doll my neice had, broken for ages, turns on and with that mechanical sound walked out from the open closet. i seriously felt the fear run from my toes to my head. anyways we figured that since we loved going to haunted house and drinking at the cemetaries that one of these times we had to bring "something" back with us. oh and a friend of mine crashed on my couch and heard things being moved around beside him in the dark, hehe he wont set foot in my basement by himself. well thats is the gist of it but i also had a hug from a noboy exactly how mike explained in his thread. oh yeah and a girlfriend of mine was nearly in tears because she felt the presence of "evil". anyways call me nuts, i thought i was til it happened to other people, and my mom actually wanted to move.

crap why am i writing this crap this late? now i gotta go sit in the basement thanks.

That's some freaky stuff there Mr. ???.
I'd love to be in a place like that, but part of me would also hate it.

Forgot a tidbit in my other post. This isn't something I saw, but rather heard. This morning I was suddenly awakened by someone screaming/yelling my name. I wasn't dreaming before that happened and I was pretty sure I was only partially sleeping, since I woke up just before that. Went to see if my roomie was alright... and found her not home. Scared the crap out of me when I found no one else home.

I havent seen anything but my parents told me that when they were dating they were walking home one night and heard a scream from the forest that wasnt animal but wasnt human either. This was around the time that a bunch of Bigfoot sightings were being made in Northern Manitoba.

I've also seen a videotape that my cousin and his buddy took while out hunting of a multi-colored light in the sky that would stay still for a while and then change it's location in a split second.

I have no idea why, but I am absolutely fascinated with Sasquatch. Heck, all supernatural phenomenom gets me excited but there has always been something about Sasquatch that has really enticed me. One of my goals in life in fact is to one day see a bigfoot, although if I ever do I'm sure I would be frightened out of my mind.

I think everyone has heard of the Patterson footage, but unfortunately it's protected and not available to the public. I stumbled across the only other non-discredited video of bigfoot, the Redwoods footage, and it's pretty neat to see.

Caution, a LOT of potty mouth in the first clip.

Redwoods footage (excessive potty mouth)
Redwoods enhanced

I have also stumbled across audio files of bigfeet screaming that have literally sent chills down my spine.

Aliens, ghosts, UFOs, Sasquatch, heck it's all fascinating!

One shouldn't read this thread at 2 am though, now I'll never get to sleep.

Was smelt fishing in Thunder Bay Ontario me and about ten other guys and i notice some small light in the sky and point it out to everyone. This thing was making circles and took off in a straight line like lightning!
This thing was at least 2 - 3 miles up there
After that we all went back to fishing....nobody said a word about it, Strange?

I know alot of stories about Sasquatch from Northern Ontario - from the fly in reserves......
I've heard the Elders say the Bigfoot could be the Windigo...
The Windigo travels in a straight line and was once a human being who became a Cannibal
Anyone ever see the movie Ravenous?

Well...any of you ever been to heritage park?

My encounter took place there one year when we were filming a made for TV movie called "Out of Nowhere." There was a scene that required the ferris wheel, so we shot that scene by day and prepared to move to an alternate location by night. I remember as we were packing up to leave, the ferris wheel started up on it's own. Our technicians who man the wheel says that is impossible, and the only way the wheel could have started up is if someone actually physically did it. We were pretty sure no one started up the wheel.

Another incident took place when a crew member was setting up equipment to shoot an indoor scene. We stood by waiting for the 1st AD to fill us in on the details, but just then the crew member yelled for us that there is an unauthorized person in the upstairs of the building we were shooting in. He said the person was wearing a heavy coat and walked right past him up the stairs. The thing is, we were only suppose to shoot a scene on the main floor of the building, so second floor was off limits to us. We went upstairs to check it out, but could find no one. The crew member (he was a grip) was sure no one came back down, as he was keeping an eye on the stairs at all time, even when he called for us.

i used to work at humpty's on edmonton tr and about 23rd ave ne (i know, i know, i was a dumb kid...)

anyway, on a sunday, after close at 5pm, the waitress and i were locking up and walking towards her car, when we both looked back in the window and saw an older man in a green t-shirt behind the counter/order up area.

we went right back in, but never saw anyone. locked up, came in the next day and reported it.

the manager (and owner of the building) said, oh, thats charlie!

it turns out the building had a history of being a gas station/garage and when they were gutting the building/removing the gas tanks, etc. he was a welder on the job. he was killed in an accident while cutting up tanks or something right where we saw him!!!

other people have claimed to see his ghost, but neither of us saw him again.

Been to Venice, and although it's pretty weird Nimbin, NSW Australia would take it on a "normal" day. Mardi Grass was by far the strangest thing I have seen, a parade where they throw out joints instead of candy, and openly sell "muffins" on the streets for $5. To top it off was a 50 foot paper mache joint that was carried through town, and was used to bash on the door of the one and only police officer in town.

You know it's weird when 8 year old kids are the ones selling weed for their parents, who are sitting on a stoop drinking coffee waiting for backpackers to come along.
