The Offspring
Anyone else hit this show up? I think it was one of the best concerts I've ever been too. The energy in the play when they hit he stage was unreal. They played for about an hour and 20 and they sounded great. The piano version of Gone away was fantastic, the highlight of the show.
Street Dogs were pretty good to start things off, but Shiny Toy Guns just sucked the life out of the place...not sure why they were on the bill to begin with

Goddamnit! There was a good chance I was going to be out of town this weekend, so I had to give up my ticket.
Sounds like it was a blast.

The crowd made it...cheering for people getting kicked out in the intermissions between shows and when the guy was dragging out his drunk ass buddy just before the Offspring came on stage...such bad timing

Sucks, because I was trying to win tickets through X929 for this show, but I never did. Sounds like it was awesome.
I was never sure also why Shiny Toy Guns were on the bill, but there always seems to be one opening band that's on the bill that doesn't fit.

Didn't catch this one but I've seen them a couple times and they are always really great and a totally riot. One of my favourite bands to see live. I'm jealous.

Amazing concert. The Corral was perfectly sized for this, the seats all looked pretty full. The floor was awesome. Crazy, but not to the point where you're worried someone is going to die.

What a great show.
The Offspring were one of my favorite bands back in the day (back in the Smash/Ixnay days). Their last couple of albums haven't been nearly as good as the first couple.... but their live shows have consistently been great. So much energy at their shows.

Think what you will of them (derivative, not punk, sellout, whatever), but I got to see them live back in the Smash days, and I thought they were surprisingly good musicians; they play a pretty tight set.

I saw Offspring once and I always forget how fun they are. To me they are one of those underappreciated bands that most people overlook.

I thought about going to this show, I REALLY wanted to see the street dogs... The offspring would have been fun too, but I haven't heard any of their LAST 3 albums or so...

I saw them with 311 down at Shoreline in San Jose last week......energy was good, but the sound was mediocre. Saw the Hip at the Fillmore last night and headed there again right now for round 2, 10x better show but mainly because of the venue. If you're ever in the Bay Area and go to a show at Shoreline Amphitheater be sure to get an inside ticket, the sound sucks on the lawn. I should add that Offspring's radio songs have been annoying to me since "Pretty Fly for a White Guy". Last one I really dug was "Gone Away'. Why can't they just make Smash over and over again?

HAHA I meant their LAST 3 albums.. Just forgot to type the word last... I'm 27, a huge punk fan, so obviously Ignition and Smash are albums I've heard and I still like a lot actually...

I was there. Third time seeing them, and they were awesome as always.
Why Dont You Get A Job and Pretty Fly are brutal. Hate those songs.
They played Mota which was a nice surprise. Didn't expect that.
Honestly, I probably liked their show the last time they came through better. I think it was the Conspiracy of One tour. They played more older stuff since they didn't have as many albums to draw from. I remember songs like Nitro (Youth Energy), Smash, and TotalImmortal.

Great show I loved it. Couple things
1. Street dogs- It is not punk rock to say they you are punk rock and that you want to be punk rock before everyone of your songs. Its annoying.
2 Shiny Toy Guns- Lets play more then 5 songs and get the crowd into the concert love your music but common 5 songs little disappointing.
3 Offspring put on a great show first time seeing them live and it was amazing exceeded my expectations.

Seeing them July 4 in Halifax. Pretty excited.
Was supposed to go to the show on Friday but I changed my mind after the SCF went to Game 7.
