whoa ... that is green. I'm not totally sure it's summer 08 ... my sister in laws house isn't on there and I'm 90% sure she had a house built at that time. I could be wrong though.

It's from probably around the beginning of Aug of last year. I got married on the 16th and the last section of fence at my house was finished the weekend before. My jeep is pulled back in the drive way and I can see myself in the yard which means I was working on the fence at that time.

Haha! Good call.
I'm going to look up my building because the last image they had of it was several years old...several years ago...

Don't know if all the pics are from the same period but from what i am seeing i couldn't see the ones i'm looking at being earlier then September, I'd guess 13th or 14th, couldn't be any later then the 14th though.

The south part of the city has to be from 2007. The Glenmore/Elbow interchange isn't open yet; the parking lot at the Grey Eagle Casino is still a pile of dirt; and the Stampede Casino is barely a hole in the ground.
All of those things were completed and open by last summer.

Not for me (Google Earth 5.0.11337.1968).
Grey Eagle is there with (you can make out the cig smoke), as is Stampede Casino, and Glenmore Elbow Interchange is open...still only 2 lanes westbound on Glenmore past 14 St, but that wasn't done until mid- Fall.

Oh yeah, I was just looking at Google Maps. I thought they used the same imagery.
Nevermind.

We put up our fence in late August last year and it shows as complete on Google Earth. The pile of wood is still sitting there, so it was taken before the beginning of school. Including the big white spot on the grass where we ran the van with my baby inside of it for an hour.

The shadows are really long as well, so I'm also on the late summer bandwagon.

So, what is going on at this coordinate? Looks like a big pile of junk on someone's property within city limits:
Lat 51° 2'45.39"N
Long 114°12'18.51"W

I dont know much about it, but it at least appears that way. I zoomed in really tight on the mountains around Banff and noticed that when you get in that close, one of em was half-snowcapped(and at a higher resolution), whereas the other side looked alot more bare, and at a lower res. Clearly it was from different months of the year.

No joke, Monday morning I'm looking out back through the 2nd floor window in my loft and the Google Earth car with the camera mounted on the roof puts by. My dogs were outside on the deck looking at it strangely as it went by, I'm sure I had the same look.

Well it was updated after August 20th. I moved to the new house that day and my car is in the parking pad out back.

Odd, I just looked at Google Earth 5.0.11337.1968 and it doesn't have my sister in laws house on it that was built back in the summer of 07. It would appear that Auburn Bay did not get much of an update.
