Just a reminder for those who care, that season 3 of The Apprentice starts tonight at 8:30pm ET (in ontario, not sure about Alberta). Show is 1hr 30min long and the contestants are going to be doing something fast food related.

Damn I was hoping this episode would be three hours long.
But this show seems to have lost a lot of its luster as of late, and i just find trump to be annoying. Plus didn't the other one just end in mid december?

I no longer have any interest in this show.
IMO it jumped the shark early last series, and has come back for the 3rd series way to quickly t re-build any excitement.

When it first came on tonight, I was thinking to myself "this is too soon after the last Apprentice".
But I actually got hooked pretty early on. Has lost a little luster since the first one, but I think this one should be pretty decent.
Rooting for the underdogs!!

Wow did that suck. The past 2 seasons, I couldn't wait for the next weeks show to air. This season I couldn't give a hoot.
Seems like it has gone the way of every reality tv show, which is to entertain.

Not nearly enough cute dames.
The Ashlee Simpson-lookin' lawyer has to lose that fake black hair for starters. There looked to be a sassy gal on Team Net Worth* but she didn't get any play at all on this one.
*great name
The short fat guy with the potty mouth will be hard to stop. Anyone who can get a $.49 plastic hat thrown in on a $200 purchase could sell ice to an eskimo. His rah-rah-rah-ing was just fantastic as well!
What I can't stand though is people who make jokes about how dumb they all are and value-judgements based on their appearance and behaviour in front of a camera. Those people are losers.

Anyone else find it funny that the Taxi cab had a Yahoo HotJobs sign on the roof. Pretty clever if you ask me.
Didn't watch just caught the end of the show.

Can someone explain to me how the High School team won, even though they only made less than $100 more than the higher-education team? Surely they should have subtracted the cost of their trip to Vegas promotion from their total, right? It's especially ironic that their team is called "Net Worth" but they only won based on gross revenue, not net profits.

I wondered the same thing.
I can only presume they were given a couple of hundred bucks for supplies, meals etc and chose to use it on the promotion. However that would certainly be different than the last 2 seasons where typically the costs of promotions were subtracted from the winnings

If I remember right, they sold about 50 burgers more than the losing team and at $5 a burger, that's about $250 right there. About 180 burgers versus 130 for the losers.
I would assume the promotion cost of tickets came from that. Getting cheap tickets from a guy in an apartment with dogs that pee on the legs of the customers probably pulled the price down!!

If the promo was fair game for Net Worth, then it was obviously an option for Magna. They just didn't think of it.
I thought the Team leader of Net Worth was pretty slick, he seemed to say all the right things and organise his team to complete tasks quite well. I can see him getting fairly far in the show. The leader of Magna was a bit of a boob, I laughed when he was giving his pep talk to the lawyer "hey man, I just wanted to say you're doing a GREAT job". Like he needs all the positive affirmation after learning how to operate a soda dispenser.
I have a feeling that the uneducated but wealthy Net Worth squad is going to have a bunch of really hard working, driven personalities on it. You don't make a bunch of money with no education by accident. The end, however, is probably going to come down to a few people with no education and a few with degrees, and the education will win out.

good point, they did quite a few more burgers than the dollar difference...but usually they point out in the board room that they are deducting expenses
do you really think these burgers cost 5 bucks US? wow. you are probably right, but they better be good burgers

That ad has always been on the top of the Cab since the first Apprentice.
