Thankyou Thrashers. Still not a good game for us to lose today.

well as we did with the CAnes, we lost to the Devils, this time without our top 2 scorers, we still gave it a good run putting up 4, but the combo of Giguere and SAbourin allowed 6. No injuries, but a key 2 way guy Federov was tossed midway through the game which didn't help. several depth players such as Lucic and Pratt had very big games, yet still would appear likely to be on the bubble come playoff time. One more game before the 2nd season begins.

This is the situation I did not want to be in. I am starting to sell players but winning games. Avs are now 1 point out of a playoff spot. It will be very interesting these next few games.

About the result I expected from with the two bottom feeder teams battling to a tie.

Wild continue their hot finish to the season, now 6-0-4 in 10 games.
Minny remains 1 point up on the Sharks for first overall with a huge head to head game on top for tomorrow.

Holy crap! I made a few small tweaks to the roster for this game and it seems to have paid off in spades as we trounce the Rangers 8-1! Hopefully it's not just a fluke and we can start back on the winning side of things.
Crosby with 3 goals and an assist earns 1st star while 6 other players enjoy multiple point nights. That's what I like to see!
Biggest game of the season tomorrow vs the Wild. The winner will likely take the Presidents Trophy.

Well out backup Goalie managed to sneak out a win against the team it always feels good beating even if it isn't the NHL. Zhitnik was called up to replace lidstrom as Niklas is day to day and Zhitnik had 1 assist and was +1 in 10 minutes of icetime so he slid in perfectly.
It looks like at this point we will be riding Brent Johnson for the remaining 2 games of the season, considering he won this one I doubt he wins many more but we want Nabby to be fully rested and ready to go for round 1.

You're welcome. Thrashers dressed their full team today vs the Kings and came out with a 3-1 win. Khabibulin stopped 20 of 21 shots to get the first star.
With the win Atlanta hit the 100 point plateau and is the only CPHL team to hit 100 points in every season since the league started. Lets hope for better playoff success then last year!
Atlanta plays NJ tomorrow before finishing the regular season vs Philly on Tuesday. With nothing to play for, look for some key Thrashers to be out of the lineup.

Hawks drop the Flames today. Doug Weight picked up an assist in his last game as a Flame.

Predators lose a costly one to the Wild. IF we make the playoffs this could be a preview....which just makes things worse!
We are hanging onto the last spot by a single point, but will definitely need to win some games here!

Leafs beat by Sens, 1-0.
4th loss in our last 5. At least we didn't get outshot in this one, but we still should have done better and at least been able to score against the worst team in the conference, no offense to the Sens. Maybe we need to shake things up a little before the playoffs.

Great win with the back up in net. Conklin stops 28 shots to get the doughnut and Gomez come through yet again with the first and only goal of the game. The Bruins are up next and we may rest a few bodies for the playoffs.

WINGS CLINCH!
I said awhile ago that the Wings would pretty much have to run the table on the remaining games if I was to have any chance at the post season. I never figured we would go on a 7-0-0-0 run.
The first line of Morrow, Zherdev and Antropov continue to produce putting up 13 points today. Nik Antropov led all players with 4 goals and one helper.
Though I am guaranteed a playoff spot tomorrow's season finale is huge. A loss and we most likely will see the Sharks or the Wild in round one. A win and there is a good chance we could play the Hawks. Not that they would be much better.
Big decision to make for tomorrow. Play Turco who has been outstanding lately but sits at 99. Or give him some much needed rest and play (heaven help us) Raycroft.

Nice win for the Pens today as we continue to battle for home ice in round 1. It is not likely we will get it but feels good to give ourselves a little cushion on 6th place. Today's game against the Sens will go a long way to see where we will end up playing.

Can't really say a disappointing loss because the team has had more faith in their results then it's own GM... but a win here could have really tightened the screws, every time you get closer and closer leaving your fate in someone else's hands then the more liekly it isn't going to roll your way.
Today's games are going to be huge
