I just got to thinking reading the thread on other teams players posting on a forum like this, how I can like a player but hate the team.

Same goes for fans. All of my dearest and best friends cheer for teams different than I. I don't have any friends around here who are Flames fans.

For that camaraderie I turn to the interweb and this site.

Now as a Flames fan, I know almost everyone here is as well. Which gives us all a bond over our team, almost like we're brothers.

That said, most here are Stamps fans as well. (Mind you I don't follow the CFL like I used to, and there seems to be more Stamps fans, yet no one really follows the league that closely here).

I don't watch the NFL or NBA. However summer months bring baseball (heck starts tomorrow for me!)

I guess I'm wondering how many of us love each other in the winter and hate each other in the summer?

Personally I'm one of only 7 Texas Rangers fans on the planet (that includes the fans in the State of Texas as well, haha).

Personally I loathe, hate and despise Seattle. Can't stand them, I hope they lose every game of the season. I also can't stand Oakland, I hope they lose every game of the season, except for the games against Seattle.

I'm curious how a group of people who can bond so tightly over one team, turn into mortal enemies over another.

I guess the point I'm getting at is:

In essence, my heart belongs to 3 teams:

The Calgary Flames, Liverpool FC, and whomever I happen to be coaching at the time. I couldnt care less about the rest.

I casually follow the Stamps and Hitmen, but very, very casually. I watch about 2 full CFL games a year, the Grey Cup and if I go to a Stamps game. I doubt I even watch one full Hitmen game a year.

NBA - Don't watch, but when I do, it's usually the Cavs or Bulls
EPL - Don't watch
CIS - UNB Varsity Reds
ACAA/CCAA - UNBSJ Seawolves

I used to be much more into other sports, but my interest has mostly been narrowed to hockey, or more specifically the Flames. I might catch a Sea Dogs game for the heck of it, but I don't really consider myself a fan.

MLB - Not the biggest MLB fan probably close to twins fan though just because I like Morneau. Follow the race to October and Playoffs though.
NFL - I follow the NFL a lot closer but don't have a 'team' per say. Take a holistic view to the league, watch the games that interests me.
NBA - Meh
EPL - Don't really care. I have a passing familiarity, but not enough to call myself a fan.
CIS - Nope
NCAA - Nope
