Sabres add veteran presence for playoff push
The Buffalo Sabres have been a strong scoring team this season, although have struggled at times on the PK and keeping the puck out of their net. In addition they have alot of younger players up front.
In order to address this the Sabres have acquired a veteran 2 way presence up front in LW/RW Mike Grier. Also coming to Buffalo is cash and a 5th round pick in 2010. Going to Colorado are young up and comer Radek Smolenak, a 3rd round pick and Zenon Konopka
"We think Mike will solidify our bottom 2 lines and the PK" says Looooob. the key pieces to Colorado are a young NHL ready forward Radek Smolenak, and a 3rd round pick...the rest of the deal was various pieces to balance roster sizes, cost etc. thanks to the Aves for some smooth talks
