Default What to do in Toronto

So I'm going to Toronto for the first time. I've already got my Blue Jays tickets, my Hockey Hall of Fame tickets, and we are staying right beside the Roger's Centre, but what else is a must do? We are there for 5 days and I don't even know where to begin.

A lot of great burger places there. I'd try out Burger's Priest and Holy Chuck to start. Toronto has descent shopping...although that's less of a bonus in the internet age.

Make fun of the locals. Well, unless you look Portugese and happen to be in Little Italy.

Or just go to Burger Priest as already mentioned. The St Lawrence Market is great for wandering lunches.

Go by the harbour and stop in at Steam-whistle brewery. It's in an old train round house, cool building. Plus, well, beer.

Queen Street has a lot of cool shops, places to eat. Gangster Burger is really good. Wander around Kensington Market area, great little shops and restaurants. If you are into galleries, Art Gallery of Ontario is a great place to spend an afternoon, the contemporary art on the 5th floor is really good.

Book a SteamWhistle brewery tour, get the one that includes the case of beer . The brewery is in the old train turn around right beside the tower and Rogers center. Rent a car and go to Niagara Falls for a day. We were there for a couple of days this summer and I wanted to check out some comedy but never got a chance. http://baddogtheatre.com/on-stage-now, http://www.secondcity.com/shows/toro...nto-mainstage/. Also check out what concerts are playing, we never made it to any comedy shows because we ended up going to see the Foo Fighter.

Right beside the Rogers Centre is a boardwalk you can walk on right beside the water and watch airplanes fly in and out of on a little airport. It's a nice spot to chill. Also beside the CN tower is the Ripley's Aquarium.

Haha...Thanks everyone. So by the looks of it, Toronto is mostly good for Burgers and Steamwhistle. Works for me...my wife, probably not. The Aquarium looks really cool.

Go to the top of the Tower. Buy groceries at Maple Leaf Gardens. The ROM is pretty good.

I go quite often, so here are my choices for a first timer with 5 Days...in no particular order.

- The Ripleys Aquarium, quite fun and interesting
- The Toronto Zoo, this one is awesome depending on the weather of course.
- The Royal Ontario Museum, last time I went they had an exhibition on the Chinese Dynasties which was superb.
- How many Jays games are you going to?..go to more
- Steamwhistle Brewery Tour(w/ the case of beer)
- The Medieval Times Mfer!

Go to Wide Open for a beer. It's my favourite dive bar in TO, it's on Spadina and it's about 8' wide. Total hole in the wall, but it has cheap drinks and a lot of character. The Horseshoe is another dive bar legend. Plus it has good music usually, as does the Dakota.

Other than that - go out to the Island if the weather is nice, you can take the new pedestrian tunnel now I think. Black Hoof is tasty if you like animal parts. Wander the neighborhoods. AGO is great.

I'm a die hard Calgarian, but fall & spring are in many ways much nicer in southern ON.

Toronto is a neat city. If you like eating and drinking, there are many better places. Fun city to walk around in. I tend to stay away from the tourist attractions, and just try to figure out what makes a city tick. Much nicer aesthetically than Montreal, but with a bit less going on.

The Black Hoof if you like organ meat and bone marrow like I do.
