Red Dawn beotches!

This movie is goofy as all hell now but in its day it was a seminal movie for many of us. Swayze, Charlie Sheen, Lea Thompson and Powers Freaking Booth headed up the cast.

Well, since Hollywood is out of original ideas, the remake starts filming next month. The dude who played Jim Kirk's daddy in the latest Star Trek film takes on the Swayze role. Tom Cruise's kid is in it as well.

No remake could ever be as awesome as the original.

Oh hell ya.

This remake will either be insanely awesome or GI Joe bad. There is no in between.

Yeah. I remember thinking it was great when it was new. It freaked me out and seemed so intense. Now looking at the trailer, it just looks bad.

I remember I got passes to the Red Dawn preview and my buddy and I weren't sure if we liked the movie or not. Then I saw it again on one of the movie channels years and years later and I figured we must have been high - it owns all over the place. I'm not sure if it really needs to be remade, though - how could you possibly make it better?
