Thats all well and good, but whats going to happen when Principal Whatshisnuts isnt around?
These kids are going to have to learn to deal with physical contact sooner or later, is later really the right answer?
Tell 'em to suck it up and deal with it, the world doesnt care about their problems.
Although, to get sent to the hospital for a nutshot, the guy must have wound up or something, or maybe that kid was just a total pansy, that kid would have to have been decimated.
Did the Principal kick him in the nuts?

And doesn't it seem like these principals have too much power? Where do they draw the line? If he wanted to, say, impose a restriction on sneezing during classes, would that be allowed, despite the fact that it's asinine? Who eventually steps in and puts a stop to this insanity?

The problem is centers more around the parents than the school.
Schools nowadays have their hands tied by over zealous parents who think their kid is the second coming.
Parents who will believe the kids word over the teachers, parents who aren't afraid to make a stink, parents who sue.
I'm sure this just comes down to legal issues and the school trying to make sure it stays out of hot water.
I'm not saying sometimes kids DON'T have legitimate concerns and there aren't some bad teachers, but man o man, parents just don't help schools out the way they used to. Nor do they instill in their kids the importance of authority.
Going to the hospital is pretty serious though, however I would think that the parties involved would be dealt with correctly and that the school wouldn't have to involve the other kids by making new rules.
