Default LF: Advice on buying a Truck

Just started looking at buying a Truck. Needs to have seating for four. Needs to be a quad cab. Dodge, Chevy, Ford? nothing bigger then a $1500. What kind of negotiating power do I have in this downtime? Any good deals out there? We just started looking.

Looking for some advice or stories/ experiances etc.....

Thanks

since you mentioned advice, I will say that spending $1500.00 on a truck would be a bit of concern to me. I think you are going to get what you pay for in this case. you may end up having some costs associated with buying a truck at that price. You may end up putting some money into it.
If you can afford to spend some more than, I would definately look at getting something better.
just MHO

Did you mean nothing more than 1500 dollars or did you really mean nothing bigger than a half ton truck? (3/4 - 2500 or 1 ton - 3500)

From what I've seen you can get a Ford for about $12-13k less than msrp. Dodge on the other hand is throwing in a Calibre instead of giving the discount. I don't know what GM is offering.

Just don't get the extended warranty, since they won't be around to honor it
