I know there is (or used to be) a service that will pick it up and use it for charity purposes. I can't for the life of me remember what it is called, but I used it many years ago. I think I paid them a small amount for the pickup rather than me dropping it off, but either way it beat me driving it to the dump and paying 5 bucks to dispose of it.
