ya when I was down there 2 weeks ago (?) it was pretty barren
almost all the hockey equipment was gone, maybe 3 right handed composite sticks, and they were all juniors, tons of leftys though
did manage to pick up 24 dunlop golf balls for $12...prolly should have picked up 48

It's got a bowling alley!
Then again, it doesn't have an anchor store to get enough volume of people into the mall.
It has had a few stores through the years that were decent, but never enough at any one time to get a critical mass of places I would make a point to go to.
As it is, I would go to get some cheap stuff at Sport Check, but with it now gone I can't think of a reason to go there.

Some of the other The Forzani Group stores are not faring to well.
Some of the Nevada Bob's Golf stores are closing around town very soon. Some are becoming Hockey Experts stores.
Watch out for some golf sales!!!

I always chuckle at the billboard on Highway 2 (when you're driving into Calgary from Airdrie) that advertises Deerfoot Mall as Calgary's Best Outlet Mall (or something like that)...

haha. the food inspectors did. I wonder if it is reopened again.
Ugh. I went to that 'sale'. It was total crap. It felt like i was shopping in a value village or something.

Almost any mall in this city will crush Deerfoot Mall. Wal-Mart leaving really hurt their mall numbers.

I remember when Deerfoot had the only Bay in the N.E. area. The mall was doing good then.
