The NFL wins because the have superior athletes and product, you could make those clips with the bums that play in the CFL with enough takes and tricks.

The NFL is the US what the NHL is to Canada.

Imagine 30 Canadian NHL teams. Assuming we have 30 cities with a million people or so.

You'd have the same result.

NFL also wins cause they have the best run league in the world.

Reasons
-salary cap
-profit sharing
-non-garenteed contracts

The NFL wins also because people like to gamble on it.

Wouldn't you know, those commercials are promoting "Fantasy Football", which is a nice way of saying "another way to gamble".

So true. I'm not an NFL fan myself, but anytime I hear friends or co-workers talking about it, all anyone ever talks about is which teams they need to win that week.

Super lame. That is why the NFL loses. It's all fake.

Ovechkin doesn't need stupid CG to pull off spectacular plays.

Creative commercial though.

The NFL also wins because it's perfect for TV. The ball is large and easy to follow on Television, there are lots of commercial breaks, and lots of downtime during the game where people can run to the washroom or the fridge and not miss too much gameplay. I personally see all the downtime as a negative, but it works for TV.

In terms of the best hockey related ad, my favourite is still this one.

And here I thought the NFL won because of consistent refereeing.

Too bad the clips were all fake.

I'd rather watch a Stamps game than an NFL game any day of the week.

Yup! Nike Football has made some super awesome ones over the years. The Take It To The Next Level commercial is freakin' cool! When I saw it for the first time it was in my hotel room in France and even my roomy that wasn't an avid footy fan was totally feeling it. These two are also pretty cool!
