I'd be partial to #1.
To save you the time, no, a 1977 Camaro with running boards and "take it easy" mud flaps ISN'T a choice for Saskatchewan's coin.

I still had to check if Edmonton had a coin
I'll say 3 followed closely by 2. The others with the oil on them are pretty tacky.

I'd take 3.

Voted 3. IMO, besides 3 none of them were really that good, 2 was decent.

Well, 2 looks like it was picked up at the OK Gift Shop in Banff, along with a jade carving, some amorite, boxed smoked salmon and a couple T-shirts.
3 looks like a paint by numbers sketch that hasn't been painted in.
4, with cattle so close to the derrick, may conger up images of BSE. Plus, flower wouldn't grow that close to a derrick!
1 can't be treated as an Edmonton/Oilers symbol because a) You can see the mountains and b)Those safistickted Edmontonians ain't horse riding fellers like us hicks down in Calllgary.
Plus, it looks like an active producing well...Oilers have been dormant/capped/shut in for the last 2 years.

Voted for #1 - had the RCMP in the background, and really represents a lot of what alberta is (oil and gas + agriculture/farming based economies). Mountains in the background look pretty snazzy also. Plus I love the border
#2 - There is already an old goat on the other side of the coin.
#3 - Alright
#4 - Just don't like the picture that much.

Voted #2.
I'm not too partial to Oil derricks depicting our beautiful province.

I personally like 1 or 4.
The other two depict a part of our province that I feel is way too regionalized. i.e. Banff is not Alberta

I like # 4.
The wild rose and wheat are front and center and the oil derek, like it or not, is a pretty important part of the province. I like the old school derek as opposed to the more modern pump jack (it is a centenial after all), and throw in the cows for good measure.
Yup, I think #4 is the best.

Oil pumps? Hell, why not just put an Escalade on the coin? Communicates pretty much the same thing.

#2! No question. When I think of Alberta, I think of the Rockies, and #2 seems to fit that profile better than the others.

They all suck, but I guess oil is something Alberta didn't really have going for it very much before 1905. And you see a lot more "donkeys" around than derricks. So I picked one.
Would have preferred the giant perogy-on-a-fork in Glendon though.

I agree , none of these inspire me as much as say a coin of Semenko and Hunter pounding the crap out of each other

I don't think any of them capture the spirit the best.
That said, I think 4 has the best symbols
