Default Going to Dundee, Scottland - What should I do?!

Hey guys,

Got a job interview in a couple weeks in Scottland. Anyone been to Dundee? Any recommendations for great sites and/or Pubs?

My niece just moved there. I'll see if I can get some ideas from her.

Drink lots of Tennants. Do not drink Super Tennants... If you get some free time get the hell out of Dundee and go to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Screw Glasgow, but Edinburgh is awesome.

Also, drink Scotch, and go to a distillery if you have a chance, but not the "distillery" in Edinburgh.

I do remember now, that my friend from Scotland says that Glasgow is mostly a dump. I would get out of the big cities altogether if you have a chance.

The Royal Mile in Edinburgh is definately worth a visit. The castle overlooking the city is on par with Salzburg and Koblenz.

Loch Lomond, Loch Ness if you have the time to travel.

Edinburgh is not a big city though, just to clarify, and it's one of my favourite places in the world. So beautiful.

Glasgow is a turbo-dump

From the last time I drove through (although really, this could be anywhere England):

You are right, didn't mean to say that Edinburgh was a big city, nor not worth visiting. It's definitely on my list for want to see places. I just meant that I would love to do a road trip to see more of the countryside, small villages, etc., if I had the opportunity. I would love to see the Royal Mile.

Dont spell Scotland with 2 't's....they're strange about little things like that.

Also, dont mock guys in skirts.

If you see guys in skirts in Calgary its acceptable to mock them because they're probably going to a 'party.'

If you see guys wearing skirts in Scotland, its probably they're Scottish and its probably best not to mock them....they'll kill you....Scotland style. They have their own style of murder. Its true, look it up....

If anyone asks you if you want to see his claymore.. RUN. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.

And did I mention drink Scotch? Single Malt preferably, no ice or someone will probably ask you if you want to see his claymore.

And if you try to say the word Argyle. I found that the North American way of saying that word confused the Scots. They said it more like.. AAAARRRRRGEEEEELLL.

Guys in skirts at the Calgary Stampede. Probably lawyers. Mock, Mock, Mock . . . . .

I'm probably going to Scotland in the Fall. Perhaps running the Loch Ness Marathon.

Eat Haggis.. seriously its awesome.

Follow kermitology's advice on the scotch... it is acceptable to add a splash of water. If you find it absolutely necessary to add ice... just ask for ice.. dont' say "on the rocks" you will sound like a ######.

If you are at a pub and there is an England match on... cheer against them.
