Default Ft. lauderdale

I am going with my girlfriend to Ft. Lauderdale on the 20th-22nd. We are on our way to a cruise.

I need suggestions on what to do there. Keep in mind we are on a budget. We are going shoping at sawgrass for a morning. Other then that we have no real plans.

I need a couple of suggestions for resturnats (Lunch and dinner -good food we can't get here at resonable prices.)

Where is a good beach? Anything else we can do that is cheap and entertaining?

Thanks for the help

Stay out of Lake Worth Go east from sawgrass and you'll be at the beach. Go south to Las Olas, that's a cool downtown street . Also at the end of that on the river is the Riverwalk..if you go at night you might see some Cats there. There are some cool restaurants down town but on the beach you do have Hooters and a couple of other chains that are more reasonably priced, also in Sawgrass. If you like Chinese, PF Changs in Sawgrass is great and very reasonable considering atmosphere and price. Parking at the beach is crappy of course. It's better to just surrender and park in a lot and walk unless you're patient and want to drive up and down the side streets a few times. Not sure what else you're looking to do, Sawgrass will eat up alot of your time. There's an IKEA now too. But seriously if you go east from Sawgrass you will be on Oakland Pk Blv. Just keep going, you'll be driving for awhile before you get to the beach. I'm so used to going there I probably forget stuff. Mr. GreenTea Frapp is on a plane now, he has more experience as a tourist than I. You could always just keep going down A1A and you will drive through Hollywood which I like for some reason and then you will be on your way to South Beach. It's not a long drive and nice if you've never been. Also there are several casinos if you are into that..the Hard Rock and Seminole Paradise, Coconut Creek and the Isle at Pompano.
