Sunday, February 15th at 10pm MST is the deadline for declaring free agency. Some teams did not wait too long to sign some free agent players and it seems like OLinemen are the hot commodity last night.
Winnipeg and Saskatchewan are the busiest team so far with free agent signing and trades. Here's a couple of trades first:
- Winnipeg acquired LB Shabazz from Edmonton in return for Kai Ellis.
- Winnipeg acquired CB James Johnson from Saskatchewan for 2011 Draft pick (not specified which pick).
Free Agent signing:
WINNIPEG signed OL Glenn January(Sask)
SASKATCHEWAN: signed Moose Jaw native OL Joe McGrath(Edm) amd also signed LB Aaron Wagner(Tor)
TORONTO: signed OL Dominic Picard(Wpg)
HAMILTON: signed former Stamps OL Alexander Gauthier(Wpg)

Free Agent already signed with NFL: LB Jamall Johnson(BC) to Tampa Bay and RB Dominc Dorsey(Tor) to Washington.
Expect to see OL Rob Murphy to sign with Hamilton or stay with BC. LB Carpenter might re-sign with the Stamps, DL Freeman might stay with Cgy. I don't see a lot free agent players that would be able to help the Stamps this season so I don't think they will be busy this off-season.
