Default "SNL is insensitive to disabled": Blind NY Governer

My first question is... How would he know?

If he had done his research, and watched... ummm... listened to the show, he would have noticed that SNL is insensitive to everyone equally. Where was he when they made fun of Bush for 8-9 years? What about both Clintons. I didn't hear this guy speak up with all the Palin bashing. 1 out of 4 of those names were not disabled, although I can't back that up with any paperwork.

He should be glad that he's being spoofed on SNL, otherwise no one would have known who he is, other than the black politician CNN interviewed after they declaired Obama as the next President.

Here's the latest "appearance" of Gov Patterson (for US viewers only, damn):

I'm not sure SNL is 'insensitive to the disabled', but from the article it sure sounds like they play up his blindness in a bumbling manner for the sake of a cheap laugh... though I'm not sure SNL has any other kind of laughs, so I suppose we take what we can get. If the guy doesn't like his blindness being mocked, I don't see a reason not to respect that, but obviously SNL is free to be as crass as it chooses.

Kristin Wiig's blistering impersonation of Kathy Lee Gifford was hugely insensitive, and the funniest sketch of the year.

We should all support this so SNL gets taken off the air.

Maybe they'll put something funny on instead.
