Default Koalas at the Calgary Zoo. Wonder how long they will last.

hehe. they are so furry and cute but i heard they are bitches and hate people and smell.

I wonder if Safeway will make some Koala ice cream like they did with the pandas back in 88.

Hey the zoo is at 26 days without a death! Isn't this a record for them!

Why not? The rest of Australia is already working at Sunshine Village.

Speaking of koalas....

after volunteer firefighter Dave Tree used a mobile phone to film the rescue of the bewildered female found cowering in a burned out forest at Mirboo North, 150 km southeast of Melbourne.

Photos and a video of Mr. Tree, 44, approaching Sam while talking gently to her, and feeding her water from a plastic bottle as she put her burned claw in his cold, wet hand quickly hit video sharing website YouTube, making her an Internet sensation.

Holy crap! I can't believe I remember that. That stuff was the absolute best when I was a kid.

I wonder if the zoo will be sure to see that they have enough oxygen in their habitat.

Koala steaks yum! you can use those hook claws as toothpicks after.

I don't think the koalas would have signed up for this exchange program if they knew we had an asian gang problem here.

Don't think so. I think they were on loan from China.

As a child in '88, I remember lining up for 2 hours to see them, being teased by the TV monitors of them playing and performing tricks in front of the audience, only to get there and see them both crashed out one on the grass and another on a log overlooking this man-made pond. The only thing the resembled motion was the one on the log slight rolling over to take a dump into the pond. What a rip off.

Keep in mind that there were no such things as tasers in '88. I'm pretty sure they can keep these guys moving around a bit more now.
