Default CFL 2009 schedule out...already

CFL schedule has been released for the 2009 season
http://www.cfl.ca/schedule/year/2009/time_zone/0
a few thoughts
-season opens on canada day...cool, with a Grey cup rematch - Calgary vs Montreal
- Stamps First three games are against Eastern teams
-Stamps Close out the season with 2 games on the road
- Stamps have 8 Friday night games and 6 Saturday games - no sunday games and a game on wednesday (canada day) and thursday
- stamps only play a team back to back on one occasion - labourday week
- Stamps play edmonton 4 times this year - labour day game at 5:30!?
- playoff games return to sundays

I'm guessing they play Edmonton, Saskatchewan, B.C., Toronto, Winnipeg, Hamilton, and Montreal this year.

The Stamps/Esks labour day game is now an evening game because Hamilton cried like beeotches.

The Classic will start at 5:30 p.m. and end around 8:30 p.m., much different than the 2 p.m. afternoon kickoff that's been a decades-old tradition in the CFL.

Yay! Winnipeg is here in the summer.

The only thing worse than watching my team getting their butts kicked is having to watch it while freezing cold.

Plus, the only time I have ever seen Winnipeg win at Mcmahon was a warm summer evening.

This is a league where I could probably figure out the schedule with a pen and notepad without many conflicts.

I've been here almost 12 years and have yet to see them win. I haven't gone every year, so maybe they sneaked a win in there somewhere.

Hmm.

To be fair to both teams they should either play the game on Sunday after the Riders game or better yet just alternate years of who gets early and who gets late. I was in Hamilton around Labour Day and there were a lot of pissed of people because of the start time.

Hmmmm, does RubeCube not like the CFL. Hmmmm.

How interesting that 2 CFL players were signed by his beloved Eagles. For a joke league they must be doing something right.

Go Esks Go.
