Canadian Band Breaks Down in Montana, Playing Fundraiser Gig
Kind of a neat story about the Canadian band "The Envy" breaking down here in Montana. They've been towed here to Billings, and are putting on a show to raise funds to fix their bus.

Personally, I've never heard of them. Would it be worth my time to go see them and support the cause? Or do you guys not want them back?

I'd go. I bet it would be a pretty damn good concert because they have to play well to get enough money to leave, and if they suck, they then have to stay in a town with no money and everyone thinking (knowing) that they suck.
That's pressure.

Reminds me of the song "Lodi" by CCR.

Thats actually all kinds of awesome. Whether or not they're the next great band, that is a really cool story. I'll bet all kinds of cool and fun stuff will happen.
What the hell right? I'll bet it'll be fun and worst case scenario, if they suck you give them money to get out of town.

That stretch of the I94 must be the Bermuda Triangle of properly functioning transmissions. I broke down in Livingston, MT (about 100km west of Billings) a few years back. WAs driving my sister's car from TO to Calgary. Getting the tranny rebuilt there was going to cost about three times as much as what it would cost in Calgary.
Dad to the rescue! He employed his old friend to hitch up a car towing trailer to his truck and come and rescue us. We towed the car home and got if fixed at normal prices.
At least this band is in a bigger town than Livingston. That place was so bloody boring, we took to counting trains that went by. 18. 18 trains went by.

when I read the title I thought you mean the band broke down... not their mode of transportation...

Another vote for "Go!" Even if they suck they deserve credit for getting out there.

They actually did break down right by Livingston. Luckily, they were towed to the booming metropolis of Billings.
I agree on your observations of Livingston, and the wind blows like an Edmonton teen!!!
