Default Gmail button on Google Toolbar

Anyone use this button? It's a gmail button that shows up on google toolbar. The icon changes when you have new mail, and clicking the button takes you to your account.

Anyways, somehow mine has disappeared and I have no idea how to get it back on the toolbar. Anyone know how to do this?

The google one is pretty slick if you use a lot of their apps (mail, reader, calander, docs)

Yeah, I still use it for my Internet Explorer browsing. Handy tool IMO.

First, try right-clicking on the "Google" icon on the far left hand side (usually) of the bar. This should bring up a small menu with options including "Show Button..."; from there, you can choose which buttons to have show up. You can also click on the wrench button, which will bring up "Toolbar Options" which allows you to customize all the buttons and every relevant setting in one place.

Yeah tried those options and for some reason the mail button doesn't show up under either of those menus.

Actually just figured out how to fix it, just had to log out and then back in through the toolbar

I use something called gmail notifier. It sits in the bottom right of the screen by the time, and does the same thing you said above.

I just run Pidgin which lets me talk on Google Talk, MSN and notifies about the appropriate email when it arrives, plus it doesn't force IE to the the broswer to open my hotmail, which is a good plus.
