Default GDT: QC Flames @ Grand Rapids Griffins - 1/24/09

This is going to look an awful lot like yesterday's GDT as we just finished playing them a few hours ago, so not much changed.

The baby flames are now 0-1-1 against the griffins on the year. QC actually had their number going 4-0 against them last year. Last nights contest was a tight one with the teams trading PP goals before going to the shootout. JD Watt was a scratch last night and there has still not been a fight with NHL tough guy Aaron Downey even with both Watt and Vandermeer on the QC roster.

sorry for still being a bit early. want to get it out tonight but dont feel like waiting any longer!

All I'm asking for tonight is that they play as well as they did last night!

You never like losses, but the well-played games against top teams are much easier to take!!!

With regards to Downey, you're not missing much as he's not much of a fighter. Often willing but not often winning. Sorta like Huggy Bear.

QC is not holding back the shots with 33 after 2 periods! Sounds like Keetley is having a good game again. Hopefully he is getting back on top of his game!

in a total goalie battle, the flames fell tonight 1-0 in the shootout...

the shootout was much closer tonight as keetley only allowed one goal, but QC still couldn't put in a SO goal.

sounds like quite the tough loss.
