Default McDonalds Hockey Cards

Now that they don't sell them anymore, does anyone have any doubles they are willing to trade. I have a schwack of doubles, and I'm a few short of completing the regular set. I have some doubles of the goalie checklists I'd be willing to part with as well.

I need:

4 - Bergeron
15 - Nash
18 - Zetterberg
25 - Gaborik
40 - Fleury
48 - Luongo

Blue = Found

Post what you need, and maybe PM the poster if you have what they need. Not sure if this should go in the buy/sell forum. Mods, please move if appropriate.

I was thinking of doing this exact same thing. I'll compile a list of my doubles shortly. Sadly, I hate McDonalds and it pained me to eat there to get these cards.

I don't think I ate anything there, I'd just get my coffee there until they were out, then it was back to Timmy's.

Well crap, that's a much better solution to me risking dying over their food.

Are these cards even worth anything or do people just collect them for the fun of it?

My four year old daughter has 4 cards.
One of them was Luongo, you are welcome to it.
She would love a Calgary Flame in exchange, if possible.

Her favorite players are...

1) Jarooooooome Miginla
2) Don Phaneuf
3) Mikka Kippersoff

She also likes Matthew Lombardi, because he is the fastest.

It's your day Prototype. I went to look for the Luongo card, and the other cards were:

15 Nash
40 Fleury
a checklist card with Toskala on it (26-50)

3 of the only 4 she has, are ones you are looking for.

I asked her, and she reiterated her love for "Iggy Iggy Iggy"...

I dont know how true this is, but I was told a few years ago by a collector that McDonald's cards are the most valuable ones you can trade. Pretty interesting, considering I recently stumbled upon my 1991 Canada Cup McDonald's card set, I even still had the wrapping.

Well if anyone feels like making an American girl very happy and they have any extras, feel free to send them my way

(Preferably Getzlaf, Kane, Toews, Phaneuf, E Staal, J Staal)

...I figure it's worth a shot, I'm not above begging.

Default Joe Thornton card

my 3yr old son desperately wants the Joe Thornton # 41 card. If you have this card for trade, please let me know.
Thanks,

DaveF, I have one Thornton card. I'm not ambitious enough to try to complete the set, so you are welcome to have it and make your boy happy.

I'll be at Pete's Peanut Pub (near Westhills) tonight. There is a thread in the Off-topic forum with the location and info. I'll bring the card with me.

Or if that's not doable, PM me and we'll make arrangements.

Oh darn, I will have to check, we did have a Getzlaf, but I'm pretty sure we threw it out.
I will have a look, I think there is still a package in the car.

Default Many thanks to WindomURL!

I would just like to leave a post in here, with a very deep heartfelt "Thank You" to WindomURL. He helped me out by providing not one, but 2 different Joe Thornton hockey cards for my 3 year old son who has a thing for the San Jose Sharks. We were unable to get the card before McDonald's pulled the plug on selling them, but WindomURL contacted me immediately and went way out of his way to get together to pass the cards along. My son was absolutely ecstatic to see the Sharks card (he still hasn't opened the second one, but he will soon) and WindomURL made me look like a hero, when it was really he who is to be thanked.
Thanks WindomURL...we'll chat again soon.

Proto, I will check this weekend. I think we had Gaborik, not sure. Might even have the others, but my memories not what it used to be.

My kids would not want checklists back, just player cards. I'll let you know.

BTW Windom rocks.

Well, here's my Windom URL story.
From reading this thread he knows my 4 year old daughter likes Iggy and Don Phaneuf. Though he knew I was getting them for her in trade with Prototype, he gave her a Phaneuf card anyway.
She loved it, "DON PHANEUF!"

I suppose I should clarify that it is Dion soon.

So thanks to you guys for taking those things and saving me the space!

Lots of thanks, but I was offered a set via PM, thank you anyway, though!
