Default Tuna Sandwiches

In light of the KD thread I come to CP in search of interesting ways to make a tuna sandwich. I find myself making these alot for lunch and would like a new way. I usually chop up pickles and/or celery with lettuce and tomato....any other ways? Thanks!

I made a wasabi Mayo the other day to go with a tuna sandwich, pretty tasty.

Salt & Pepper only for me thanks. Nasty when people mix in mayo or relsih, ew.

It has to be one of the tastiest fishes in the ocean, no need to enhance the flavour.

I just use a bit a mayo mix with the tuna and spread, I agree that it is a very tasty fish but its too dry on its own, I need some sauce on my sandwich.

1. Toast two slices of bread
2. Spread mayo on both sides of the bread.
3. Add canned tuna to one side of the bread.
4. Chop green onions and sprinkle liberally throughout tuna.
5. Salt and pepper.
6. Cover the tuna with a piece of cheese and microwave (or bake in oven) until melty.
7. Smush other piece of bread on to.
8 Enjoy. Wipe hands on pants.

- Instead of mixing with Mayo, use a creamy Dill dressing (Kraft?)
add fresh slice of tomato and lettuce

- Sandwich flaked tuna (sprinkled with sea salt, pepper, and lemon juice) in between 2 thinly sliced pieces of Brie. Bake open face style in toaster oven

tuna, celery, lemon juice, salt, pepper, mayo, and chopped tomatos. Mix it all up, put it on some toast and put some cheese on top, put it in a sandwich maker and you have a tuna melt.

Sprinkle some paprika on your tuna, you'd be surprised at how much better it makes it. I do this every time.

Goddamn it, now you've given me a hankerin for tuna sandwhiches. And there's no tuna in the hose...

For my tuna mix I need to have Miracle Whip over mayo, I just love that bit of zing or bite or whatever you want to call it mixed in. Mayo is just too plain.

I love to chop up onions in there too. Some salt and pepper.

If you have it in a sandwich or on crackers you can also melt some cheese over it, nice little tuna melt.

If you can get a nice soft croissant, mmmmm magic!

If you want to change it up, instead of mayo try mixing in a little olive oil (to hold the whole thing together) with dijon mustard (and salt and pepper to taste). Seriously - it's effin good.

I generally use the mayo concept myself, and quite often I'll kick it up with a little piri piri sauce for spice - then I spread low fat plain yogurt on half of the bread and use that to hold in a big ol' pile of shredded ice berg lettuce. So you get the creamy heat from the tuna mixture and then the lettuce and yogurt cool things down. Taco Bell thinks they know how to do hot/cool combo? Not like this, they don't!

I've had this talk with people before. I'm on the other side of the equation, I find Miracle Whip too sweet. I don't need that stuff, I'm sweet enough.

And agreed with whoever said to toast it. This is a must if you're able(ie not at work).

Another good way to consume tuna is with Franks red hot. Gotta be tuna in water, though. Not oil.

My mom used to make a yummy thing - tuna, melted cheese, wrapped up in pillsbury croissants.
