Default Gov't subsidizing businesses who have to cut workers down to 4 day work week?

Hi guys and girls. Have any of you heard about this? Our company is talking about cutting down to 4 days a week but my boss has heard that there is a gov't subsidy where they will pay something like 55% of the fifth day wages so that people don't lose a full day pay per week.
I should mention i am in Ontario. I haven't heard of this, has anyone else?

Ya, our company did this last time there were lay offs, except UI paid for half of the 5th day
