Someone has taken the remote control. It quite possibly could have been the baby.

The TV is stuck on Treehouse and if I watch more Franklin the fricken turtle or this other crap - I'm out. My brain will tell me it's leaving for good. Even if I turn the TV off for now and put on a CD, I'll know that I can't turn the channel afterwards. It's like a large purple dinosaur shaped cloud hanging over my head.

I have torn the house apart looking for them, but I can't find them.

Any advice?

Can't you change the channel on the tv or cable box itself? You could always go out and get a universal remote.

I've always thought that remotes should have alarms on them. But wouldn't you need a second remote to set off the alarm on the first remote? Then what happens if you lose the second remote first?

You could approach the tv and change the channel by using the buttons on the tv. It is what we used to do before remotes.

Don't tell me you tv doesn't have buttons.

we have one of those set ups where if I press a button on the box I $&%&$ everything else up.

If I could figure out how to turn the channel on the box itself, I'll move it to TSN or SPIKE and then my wife will have the nervous breakdown.

You could always disconnect the box and go back to basic cable. Then you could just change the channels on your tv.

You have to think of what you did after you turned it to treehouse... Clearly, you took the remote with you. It could be in the bathroom, or elsewhere in the kitchen. Did you grab a plate? Check the cupboard. Did you get your kids ready to go? Check their bags.

TV was on when I came home, so it certainly wasn't me that turned it to treehouse. My daughter is getting a good sporting education from dad as we watch sports at every opportunity.

Not under jackets.

The alarm button could be on the TV. Like a portable phones page button is on the charging stand...

But that won't help Killer now...

toy box and under the couch were the first places I looked.
