Congrats on the win. I'd share my write-up of the game but I was so irritated, I half-azzed it.

Thanks....now and for the win! It was a promotion night...cheap tickets to try to draw a crowd, and those who came were really into it.

We sit right above the net where VanderGulik scored....one of the prettiest goals I've seen all year! Just like it was drawn up....

Brust is feisty....and Irving played one of his best games to date. There must have been tempers flaring all night....lots of tussles, but no real fights. Then the Aeros weren't happy that they couldn't score on a 6-on-5 and decided to throw a temper tantrum. It was great!!!

wranglers Fun game

I was at the game (my first of the year) and I had a blast. A couple of very pretty goals for the Flames, and a couple of very chippy, ugly goals for the Aeros (in fact, both went off of a Flames player). The defenseman number 7, Palin I think his name is, looked very good, and in fact dusted an Aeros player one-on-one at the blue line to start off one of the goal plays. Is there any good info on him?

LOL I love hearing opposing fans talk about my guys. I thought all that chippiness was y'alls doing.

Brusty is always fiery. Got a little Hextall blood in his veins, I swear. Love him.

Yeah I would love to own the houston areos. The qc would always have ahl if he went after me.

are you still trying to get attacked so you can sue the ahl and get a bunch of money and become an owner of the team?!?!?!!?!? i somehow feel the plan is flawed, but haven't put my finger on the problem yet...

Hey, the only thing I can say is these are pro athletes and they should be able to take a little verbal jabs or a verbal right hook my case with out hitting fans.

oh well hey you need to do a photoshop for saturday big gay al pic with montoyas head on big gay al's body and it will say "big Al" on it. i want to leave the gay part out of it because some overly sensitive person will cry about it.

I would help but my artistic value is pretty low. I mean I bet a downs kid with no arms could do better..

no biggie! you provide the ideas and i make the awesome signs! also, i let you do all the aggressive smack talking, so it evens out.

i did forget to comment on your above comment. i also am amazed at how thin skinned these guys are. i think about all the ribbing i hear at other pro sports events, and what we do is nothing compared to it. if anything, i think we actually put some thought into our insults. we always avoid cursing, and rarely say anything thats offensive in the general sense. so i have been amazed at the amount of success we have had getting into players heads!

I think its because we actually take time to bash people then the normal "hey you suck" "your a loser" so when we actually say something like "hey luigi, weras mario?" in an italian accent it catches them off gaurd and they dont know how to react other than the normal hockey man way by punching someone.

Yeah, their thin skin doesn't surprise me a lot. Scotty... I dunno what he is. He's not an enforcer, but he's awfully big and has a nasty streak that lands him a few suspensions each season.

But just to lend some balance... We were getting after Chucko in the penalty box one night and they actually had to bring in another off-ice official to sit with him (so one official on each side of him). I think it was a bench minor (TMM) so we were just letting him know that he was in the box because he was the least valuable player on the team. Boy did he get mad. Of course, Chucko is always the focal point of our harrassment when the QC roll into town. He's just so easily rattled, he makes it fun.

There are a few teams who are totally unphased by taunting. Rockford, during the playoffs last year... we'd go after the guy in the box and they'd just smile and blow kisses at us and laugh. Sheesh. How can you razz that?

I'm sure I will be back, I'm just not sure how often. I make to at least a couple games a year, though.
