Sweater (I really needed one!)
Calgary Flames bath towel (mine was starting to get old)
Didn't ask for much this year and we stayed at home this time around, so the gifts are few this year.
My brother and I bought a Samsung 46" LCD (1080p) last week though. It's our first HDTV so I'd like to think of that being a damn good christmas "gift".

as per usual, a very Flames-oriented Christmas for me:
-Flames PJ bottoms
-Flames jogging pants
-2 Flames sweaters
-2 Flames mugs
-Flames blanket
-Flames beach towel
-2 Flames hats
-Flames UNO
-Flames calendar
Plus a trip to Alberta in February, and the laptop I am typing this message from.
Hope everyone's Christmas was as fulfilling as mine!

I got a Flames scarf and toque in a Secret Santa gift exchange on the weekend, and I'm just waiting for my wife to wake up so we can exchange stockings. We decided to just do silly crap in stockings this year to save money. That'll be it!

- New winter gloves
- Stocking full of chocolate candy
- A couple pairs of Adidas track pants for the gym (to work off said candy)
- $200 toward the hockey skates of my choice, Woohoo!!!
Most important to me (along with the new skates) was that my wife was happy with her gifts, and the kids were happy with theirs.
We have a few family members coming over later today, haven't seen my brother from Arizona in a few years. That will be nice, though it may be short lived since I'll likely be working tonight plowing snow...

-Team Canada jersey
-Sens Mike Fisher Tshirt. It's actually a kids shirt, but surprisingly it fits.
-Sens hoodie
-Sens toque
-Scarf
-Perfume
-Gift basket from my brother with wine and candles and lots of lovely (not expired) stuff
-A couple movies... didn't get Dark Knight. They told me not to buy it, but then they didn't get it for me...
-PJs
-A new pair of skates
-Slippers
-A couple of cookbooks, one that is called "Incredibly Easy Recipes" so even I should be able to handle it. Although at first glance, they looked tough.
I get to see what my dad and his girlfriend got for me this weekend.... should be interesting.

Yeah, that's not exactly what I meant.
Obviously there are things about Christmas other than lots of stuff that make it very fulfilling...I just can't think of any at the moment
Seriously though, I guess I just worded things poorly. I'm very grateful for all the things I received today, and it's wonderful to see my family and friends' reactions when they receive some of the things I got them. But yeah, of course gifts aren't everything; being able to get together with my family and hanging out with them is the really fulfilling part -- everything else is just gravy

I got my family all in safe from wherever they were travelling from via airplane during a crazy last few days in the skies. There were some moments of concern but they're all here safe and sound and I'm pretty happy for that. Nice to be with everyone.
Any material items I may have gotten are pretty much irrelevant as I see it.
Happy Holidays CP!

Playstation 3
Extra PS3 controller
PS3 Spiderman3 game (I think it will be getting exchanged)
PS3 Blu-Ray Remote Control
Senators 2009 wall calendar
Mixing bowl set
Baking sheets
Large measuring bowl
Whisk
Coat hangers
Garlic press

I just wish that Rogers Video or Blockbuster was open today so I could rent a Blu-Ray movie since that's the main reason I wanted a PS3.

I got a couple of gifts, but they aren't important. Watching my kids open their gifts was a blast, though. I wish I could get that excited about Play Doh.

I hear if you can get thru the "Cereal with Milk" chapter, the rest is easy.
I got a great present from my mom & dad, it's a photo album with pictures of me, friends and family from when I was newborn until today. My mom even added little captions for most of the pictures to put them in context; must have taken her many hours.
The best picture of the lot is one of my dad circa 1973 where he's wearing some purple cords, a big wide brown belt, and a blue pinstripe shirt with wild shaggy hair. Considering he's about as buttoned down and whitebread as you can get these days, it's a definite classic.
