Flames jerseys at Sportmart

Sportmart in the mall downtown was selling CCM Flames jerseys for $39.99 today. People were grabbing them like hot cakes.

I took a look online... it looks like they have the white version of the jersey available.

Is this a good price or was this an everday price and people got excited over nothing? (I was tempted to pick some up but didnt know if it was a deal or not.)

(I know we now have RBK jerseys and the previous version had the flags so this must predate that)

QUESTION: $39.99 = deal or no?

yeah I saw them downtown at about 5pm today... people really were going nuts for them... and they we're all red 2004 version... I thought about it for a minute, but had no need for one as I have one already

You had a red Koho only if you bought it prior to the 2004 run....March-ish/April-ish of 2004 at latest. All dark and thrid jersey's were branded Koho that season for all teams, CCM with the white jerseys.

However, with Flames fever and jerseys flying off the shelves as the playoffs approached, and through the early rounds of the playoffs, CCM/Koho had to start up the production facility to do strictly Flames jerseys. Since the lockout year was supposed to start with Reebok producing them and branding them (Pre-Edge), the plant was closed thinking nothing more was to be produced.

However, with that extra run, all red jersey's were then branded CCM, instead of Koho as it was all season (and as what was worn on the ice in playoffs). I picked the wife up an Iginla jersey the day after beating the Canucks at hte Fan Attic that used to be in Eau Claire, it already was CCM, and they sold their last Koho (a XXL) when I was there.

My red is a Koho, you can tell with the size of the horse head logo too. At least on mine its smaller then the CCM one

When I've seen the 2004 Jerseys around, they've been $50.

I was positive that the 05-07 replica jerseys also had the CCM name on them- just made in Asia somewhere- and of somewhat lower quality.

That's why I was asking about the mention of the 04 jerseys. I know that in early 2004 they went from Koho to CCM, but for the cup run the CCMs were all made in Canada.

It's just for me (and people who I know who are looking) a Canadian made CCM @ $40 is a smoking "line up for it" deal. The Asian made CCMs for $40 is a "I'll drive a kilometre out of my way" kind of deal.

Just checked Sportmart downtown. Red jerseys are CCM replicas Made in Indoneisia, white jerseys are CCM made in Canada replicas. There are about six or seven white's available and unlimited reds pretty much.

Nice, I'm going to pick up a Canadian made CCM white jersey when I get home, don't have one of those.

If anyone finds Canadian made Red CCMs, let us know. I could use a spare for that price.


Indonesian made seem to be sewn alright but the fabric is much more thin and would rip easier. I bought a few of those when the Canadian mades were unavailable.
