Default Last Minute Passports?

Does anyone have any experience with trying to get their hands on a last minute passport? A good friend was finally able to get the time off work to join us in hawaii for a wedding. Thing is he doesn't have a passport yet and the flight leaves new years eve. If anyone has any helpful advice I'd truly appreciate it.

I have had to get a passport done real quick before. Just go the Canada Passport Website and download the form. I think on the form there is a box you check to get your passport done quickly. You will have to pay extra.

It took my passport 3-4 business days to get done. I think your friend has enough time, just make sure he gets there on Monday

It used to be that you needed some sort of emergency or special reason in order to qualify for the Urgent service, but it sounds like they have dropped that requirement.

-Fill out the online form to jump the queue. You will need an E-Pass account
- For the 1 business day passport there is an extra cost but keep in mind that they don't work on the stat holidays
- also they will call your references on the spot when you use the rush service
- They need to see that the flight on new years eve has been paid for in order to use the rush service.
